We are SO happy to announce a new addition to our Kaia Krew this BRIK! My dear friend and all-things-yoga resource, Summer Ward, will be teaching many of our Flow classes this session. Make Fridays a priority whether this is your first experience with yoga or if you’ve been practicing for years! Here’s a little note from Miss Summer herself…
“Hello Kaia Girls!
Some of you I have met and already know and others I am looking forward to getting to know! Whether you’re a Kaia vet or this is your first session, you are in for a treat this BRIK!… a focus on FLOW! In the past, Fridays have been the low attended day of BRIK and my guess it’s for one of these reasons…
- You have a dedicated yoga practice at a studio and the classes at Kaia haven’t felt as challenging
- You’re a super active person who has difficulty slowing down and bringing your focus internally
- You write it off as a recovery day of “just stretching”
I’m extremely proud of Kaia Sacramento for recognizing how important yoga style movement is in balancing out high impact excercises, for aiding in recovery and injury prevention, for developing body awareness, and for a host of other great health benefits!
I feel honored as a yoga teacher to be invited into Kaia to help show you how beneficial flow can be to an exercise program and for overall health. I have been teaching yoga for over 4 years and have received over 600 hours in certifications in a few different styles. I currently teach weekly classes at a local studio and for a non-profit called Yoga Across America where I teach in parks, high schools, hospitals, and with the military. I even started a small side business of teaching yoga on Stand Up Paddle Boards
I have a lot of experience leading both beginners and advanced students, often at the same time! I promise no incense, OM-ing, chanting, or chakra talk but a whole lot of checking-in, breathing, and self-acceptance for the amazing person you already are! Please talk to me about any injuries, pregnancies, or questions you may have.
I look forward to seeing you Fridays on your mat! “
