Solid Pushups

Sometimes coming in to class can be a psychological battle with ourselves.  The goals and results we want are not easy to obtain.  On the other hand, sometimes we can be extremely motivated to push ourselves and our fellow Kaia Girls!  Everyone goes through the ups and downs.  One of the best things about our community is the team work and camaraderie we build throughout the BRIK’s and Fit Sessions.  If you are coming in super pumped and motivated, help the girl next to you feel that energy if she is having a rough day :)

Sizzling Summer Session!

Tomorrow is the beginning of the new Sizzling Summer FIT Session.  Many girls have decided to continue their quest to become Leaner, Stronger and Faster.  Whether this is your first session with Kaia or your 4th, stay focused and challenge yourself everyday to push your body beyond what you think is possible.

Auburn Hike Was A Blast!

* What a beautiful hike and the water was refreshing.

Thanks to all the girls who showed up and enjoyed the outdoors this weekend.  Getting out and being productive and enjoying our new-found fitness is what it’s all about.    We will be doing more of these “Girls Trips”  in the coming weeks.

July 9th Hike

July 9 Kaia Hike in the beautiful Auburn Canyon!

We hope you kan join us for a super fun hike with our Kaia Roseville & Loomis Girls on Saturday, July 9. (Kaia Girls & girlfriends or girl family welcome!  Please no kids or dogs :)

We’ll hike on the Western States trail starting at Robie Court down to No Hands bridge on the American River.  The river is raging right now and is so beautiful.  The hike is short but interesting and amazingly scenic.  It’s approximately 4.25 or so miles round trip with some up, down and flats.  I would plan on 3 hours or so for the outing.

Part of the hike is in the shade and part is exposed so dress and lather appropriately with sunscreen. Bring water, snacks, sack lunch, sun block and any other remedies you feel you may need – bug spray, technu (poison oak crème), etc.  You will not be traipsing thru poison oak but it is part of the landscaping in these parts J

We are all meeting at Kaia Sacramento Gym at 6am and we are heading out on the trail at 7 AM sharp so please be on time.  There is not a lot of parking in the court at the end of Robie Dr. and it is a very narrow, steep residential street so carpooling is essential!  If you have to leave early – and want to drive – just keep parking in mind. 

Directions from I 80/Sacramento. Head East on I80 and exit Elm Street in Auburn. Make a left on Elm (heading east) and get into your left turn lane so you can make a left on High Street. High Street turns into El Dorado/49 pretty quickly as it veers right up the hill. At the light at the top of the hill, make a right at Borland.  Next you’ll make a left on Lubek, and then a right on Marvin. Marvin turns into Brook so say on Marvin/Brook until you see Robie Drive. Veer left on Robie Drive and head SLOWLY down Robie all of the way to the end where it dead ends into the court/circle where you park. It’s basically the trail head. When you are traveling through the neighborhoods, please travel very slowly as there are a lot of pedestrians, runners, dogs, etc. and the streets are very narrow. Please don’t leave valuables in your car.

Happy 4th of July!

Today we meet at the track and did a great workout in the spirit of our independence.  The workout was tough, but so were all the girls!

Sign up ASAP for next session!

 *Early morning Tire Flips.

We are accepting payments for the next Fit Session starting on July 18th or July 25th depending on which schedule you are on.  They will both be our 5 week sessions and are a great way to get in shape and ready for the BRIK starting on 8-29-11!   We are excited to have so many new Kaia Girls part of the program!  Many of you are hooked on the program and the amazing way you feel everyday.

Please sign up by July 6th to reserve your spot for next session.  We will be cutting back on some of our classes since we won’t need so many class times this session.  We will let you know after July 6th the days and class times we will be offering.  After July 6th, we can not guarantee your spot.   Thank you for your patience.
